LAKE Macquarie Ulysses members, fresh from their long weekend ride to Bathurst and refreshed after a few days' break, are getting back on their bikes.

Members will get together at Club Macquarie on Saturday, October 18, for their monthly general meeting and social gathering. The bistro opens at 6pm and the meeting starts at 8pm.

Next day they are heading on a 350km round trip to Scone's Fearless Flying Museum, with a 9am start from McDonald's Edgeworth.

Contact Jan Heath (49480692) or Gary Hughes (49659735).

THE combined Newcastle Classic Motorcycle Club and Newcastle Vintage Motorcycle Club annual swap meet at Maitland Showground is this Sunday.

Gates open at 6am, public admission is $2 and a site fee costs $15.

NEWCASTLE Classic Motorcycle Club members are preparing for another big event a week after the swap meet.

This one is Joe's Poker Run on October 19, starting from Speers Point Park at 9am (after the 8.30am sign-on).

A $5 entry fee earns five playing cards (one at the start, one at the finish and three along the way) with the best hand winning the prize.

Joe says each of the four runs between card stops will be about 40km and the Poker Run will finish back at Speers Point Park with a barbecue.

NEWCASTLE District Vintage Car Club members are getting together with their Upper Hunter branch compatriots on Sunday.

In what is shaping up as a mobile foodfest, members will meet at the Wallsend home of John and Lorraine McDonald for morning tea before heading on to lunch at the Main Street, Boolaroo, clubrooms.

The get-together is a ``thank you for services rendered at the recent swap meet" from the Newcastle branch to the Upper Hunter mob.

Lorraine needs a head count so ring her on 49559398.

AND finally, Newcastle Restored Vehicle Club members are getting on the road again for the October 19 President's Run.

They leave McDonald's Edgeworth at 9.30am for a pleasant drive to Blackalls Park.
