Teen Trio On Bikes Snatch Wallet

A WOMAN, 44, was robbed by three boys believed to be as young as 12 in Mayfield on Sunday night, police said.

The woman was walking along Maitland Road, Mayfield, about 7.45pm, carrying a plastic bag containing shopping and other items including her wallet, police said.

Three young males rode past her on bikes and stopped.

The woman walked past them, but one of the three rode up behind her and bumped her, police said.

The woman staggered and the boy grabbed her shopping bag.

It split open and her wallet fell out, which he grabbed and the three rode off into Corona Street, police said.

The three offenders are described as between 12 and 13 years old, all about 168 centimetres tall, of thin build and fair complexions.
