Cyclists arrested

BRUNSWICK police arrested two men on mountain bikes on Wednesday night after two failed robbery attempts.The men rode their bikes towards a man on Charles Street about 9.30pm and allegedly threatened him with scissors.The man said he had nothing of value and the bandits cycled away. They then approached another man on Weston Street who fled.The men, aged between 22 and 36, were arrested a short time later in Victoria Street and remain in custody facing armed robbery charges.
